J & B Medical’s Chief Medical Officer, Stephen Shaya, M.D., presented at the 2019 Annual Tennessee Association for Home Care. The conference was held in Franklin, Tennessee and covered current and future trends in the home care industry. Shaya spoke on “The Future of Telehealth in Home Care” for the conference's closing session. Telemedicine is the use of technology to communicate between healthcare professionals.
“We are getting to the point where it’s hard to find a use-case that couldn’t be made better with Telemedicine,” says Shaya.
HNC Virtual Solutions, part of J & B Medical, provides Telemedicine technology. The Telehealth video software is used to triage patients and/or provide urgent care using programs like the Remote Patient Monitoring platform, Second Opinion, Tele-Stroke, Tele-Psych and more.
Shaya discussed how at-home technology is reshaping the medical landscape and causing a shift in the home care industry. Many home care agencies are realizing that Telemedicine is a necessity to meet client demands for more in-depth home care.
HNC provides virtual care to millions of patients globally. Shaya adds, “Expanding health monitoring for home care makes a lot of sense because it gives peace of mind and can help keep loved ones out of expensive long-term care facilities.”
