Women of Achievement Spotlight – Pamela Petri

Spotlight Blog Banner Pamela Petri

What/who has been inspirational for you personally or professionally?

I would have to say my family-they are my biggest supporters. I was always told you can do and be anything you want to be if you put your mind to it.

What has been your best accomplishment or the proudest moment throughout your career?

When I received my NCMA Certification. I studied a lot to receive this certification to prepare for the exam. It was something that I had always wanted to do since I completed my Medical Assisting class. However, I never got around to it until my employer offered the training. I studied for the exam for a couple of months and felt a sense of accomplishment when I passed the test. I was ecstatic when I received my certificate.

What long-term goals do you have?

I am currently going back to school, I am completing my associate’s degree. Eventually I would like to become a Radiologic Tech. With just a few more classes to go, I will be able to apply to the Radiology program.

As a busy professional, how do you take care of yourself and maintain good mental health?

Getting back into my routine of going to the gym, gives me confidence, and makes me feel good when I am there working out, I feel accomplished.

What advice would you have given yourself ten years ago?

Always look at the positive!
