What/who has been inspirational for you personally or professionally?

Having long term goals and knowing what I wanted my future to look like has driven me to work hard to reach those goals.

 

What has been your best accomplishment or the proudest moment throughout your career?

I think becoming the Accounting Supervisor would be my best accomplishment so far. I started out as a clerical assistant and hadn’t given much thought about being in a leadership role. I am grateful for the opportunities that have come along over the years here and that leadership thought I was a good fit for the roles.

 

What is a mistake that you made professionally and how did you overcome it and/or learn from it?

Like everyone else, I have made mistakes over the years. I was thankful my supervisors were understanding. It’s important to learn from them and take steps to ensure that mistake doesn’t happen again.

 

As a busy professional, how do you take care of yourself and maintain good mental health?

I make sure I take time to spend time with my family, do things that interest me, and take time to just relax.

 

What advice would you have given yourself ten years ago?

I found that when you have large projects that seem overwhelming and stressful, they are easier to manage and less stressful when you break the project down into parts.
